Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market
Written by admin on September 20, 2008 – 6:07 pm -This morning we took a trolley out to The Embarcadero where the Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market is held every Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
Merchants set up tents outside the building with fresh produce from their own farms. Farmers from Petaluma, CA, Santa Cruz, CA, and even Southern CA farmers were there with their products. Most were all organic produce and fruits. We also found farmers selling eggs, honey, bakeries, and other specialties.
We had a taste of some tomatos from Santa Cruz and they were so sweet we had to buy some. Grapes were plentiful and peaches/plums/pluots were a hit.
Cool place to go if you ever need some super fresh items for your cooking.

Jeff, I had no idea you moved out to my neck of the woods!! And it looks like you picked a great place to live, too! Nob Hill? Verryy nice!
How do you like it so far? I hope you have a lot of warm clothes because it’s going to get cold during fall and winter. count on it to rain, too. Ah, and the farmer’s market is the best on Saturday mornings. They have more produce and made to order food during this time. Trust me, it’s well worth the early trip out there.
I’m still here in Irvine finishing up my degree. I’ll be graduating in march, so hopefully by then I will be able to move back home! Will you be living out there still?
Let a girl know! If you need any help with restaurant guides, where to go for food or anything else.. call me! or email me! or anything!! maybe i’ll be able to see you during the holidays
