22 Blocks North To Relaxation
Written by admin on April 25, 2010 – 12:44 am -Somehow, we decided to have a picnic by the end of the bay because Google Maps showed that there were lots of greens toward the north end. It was a nice and bright sunny day so we packed our bags (my bag actually), got Kiwi leashed up and we headed towards the water. We walked, and the cable cars passed us one by one, and the hills got steeper, and the blocks felt like miles…turns out it was only 1.6 miles!
Here’s something of what we did:
We passed by many beautiful homes and hidden stairwells along our walk through Russian Hill.

Well we got to the end and our reward was really nice. We ended up at Aquatic Park with a nice lagoon and relaxed right on the lawn watching people stroll by. We were right next to Ghirardelli Square and the turnaround for the cable car at the end of the Hyde street line.

People were fishing for crabs off the jetti and there were also lots of bicyclists and even a Segway tour. Here are some more pictures from different viewpoints of Aquatic Park.

A Company Picnic At the Zoo
Written by admin on October 11, 2009 – 5:17 pm -Last weekend, my company had a picnic at the San Francisco Zoo. We hadn’t been there before so it was great to have a company gathering there. Unfortunately, it was a little windy that day so we didn’t stay too long. However, we did get to walk around enough to see a bit of everything.
Enjoy the pics!
And now on to the real animals…

…And later that night, our good friend, Yukiko, was in town from L.A. so we met up with her and Giselle for dinner at Ristorante Milano, a small Italian restaurant in the Russian Hill district nearby.

Picnic/BBQ at Lake Temescal, Oakland
Written by admin on August 13, 2009 – 7:46 pm -Last weekend, Azusa and her co-workers set up a picnic for us all to hang out and enjoy a day at the park. It was a busy day and there were lots of people swimming in the lake, barbequing, and strolling around the park. Luckily we were able to get an open grill and of course we began to cook right away!
Pictures are from Kanako’s camera.
