Holiday lights in the City
Written by admin on January 26, 2009 – 10:47 pm -A late Happy Holidays!
Well, it seems I forgot to put up some pictures I took of the city during Christmas this year. I guess it’s never too late, especially when there were many nice things to see around the city during the holidays that I’d like to share with you all.
The Cable Cars were decorated with lights and wreaths. There were beautifully decorated xmas trees everywhere, including the biggest one in the city in Union Square. Even high rise buildings had lights running along the sides with stars on top.
The weather was great during the Holidays. Our nearby park was lit up with xmas lights along with many other business buildings and apartments showing off their style.
Best wishes to everyone in 2009! Happy New Year!

Las Vegas Xmas weekend ‘08
Written by admin on December 31, 2008 – 6:36 pm -Right after work on Christmas Eve, we drove down to Las Vegas to spend the Christmas weekend with our friends Alex and Haruka. 9+hours later and we’ve arrived at their house around 3am but stayed up until about 5am…zzzZZZ…
Christmas day was spent sleeping in, though we did manage to get up and go shopping at the Paris Hotel/Casino and ended up having way too much Alaskan King Crab legs from the dinner buffet…and an all night out with more friends and karaoking…until the early morning.
So the day after Christmas we decided to find some deals at the Premium Outlet off Charleston exit. Probably the best deals I have ever seen as long as I can remember (i.e. take xtra 50% off entire store!). And with that, most stores looked like they’d been hit with a tornado. Check out the pics.

Later that night, we found a gem of a place called “Raku”, a Japanese grill restaurant that had just opened earlier this year. I can say that it may be the best place to check out out of all of Las Vegas restaurants. So authentic to the style that this might be just as good as Japan’s. Presentation, decor, and service is A+. If you’re in Vegas, you have to go. And it’s open until 3am. And we stayed until about then.
See more mouth-watering pictures >>HERE<<.
For the last day in Vegas, we all went to check out the new Encore by Wynn Casino. Walked around the casino to see the expensive stores all empty with no one inside but the sales people talking to themselves.
Nice decorations throughout the place, very vibrant and red!
We finished up with an All-U-Can-Eat Korean BBQ for dinner before heading on the road through the night back to San Francisco.
Exhausting trip but we had a great time and got home safely…Zzzzzz.
